.NET Senior Consultant (N147)

Terrific opportunity for .NET 2.0 and SQL 2005 consulting, design, and development! Immediate opening for outstanding senior or mid-experience developers focused on .NET technologies.

  • Full time available
  • Austin, Texas (must live in or around Austin)
  • Contract and permanent positions are available
  • Compensation will be based on your experience level
  • Little to no travel
  • Mostly on-site development, possibility of some remote/telecommute

Requirements:

  • Strong background in C#, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET development and design
  • 2+ years of development work with the .NET framework
  • Experience with .NET 2.0 Framework and ASP.NET new features
  • 2+ years of database design and development skills using SQL Server 2000
  • C# knowledge and experience (familiarity with VB.NET a plus, but not required)
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment including direct contact with customers
  • Experience working in a group of developers
  • Proof of system design experience and presentation to customers
  • Proof of successful deployments of your project(s) to a production environment
  • U.S. Citizen and at least 5 years of US primary residency
  • You must be willing to be subjected to a US Government background check

Pluses:

  • Some project management/project lead/lead consultant experience
  • SQL 2005 experience
  • SQL Reporting Services (2000 and/or 2005)
  • Experience working with a developers remotely (telecommute)
  • Experience with NHibernate, Spring.NET, and/or
  • Experience with SharePoint or GreatPlains

You should be very comfortable discussing advanced topics, such as:

  • .NET 2.0 Generic Programming
  • Design Patterns (Strategy, Abstract Factory, Composite)
  • Domain-Driven Design
  • O/R Mapping Technologies (NHibernate, LLBLGen, WilsonO/R, etc)
  • Web Services
  • Test Driven Development methodologies
